What is Kickstart?

The Kickstart Scheme is a government initiative that provides funding to create new job placements for 16 to 24 year olds on Universal Credit who are at risk of long term unemployment.

Vauxhall City Farm has enrolled on the scheme in 2020, and we are looking forward to welcoming our first cohort. Guidance on the application process can be found through Lambeth Council’s KickStart website.

Through the scheme we will also be providing targeted employability training, to prepare young people for their next opportunity and give them the best-practice skills required to propel into a new career.
