Not that you ever need an excuse to visit the farm, but the overwhelming amount of cuteness that is currently happening at the farm is the best excuse for an extra trip we know
I am truly sorry to be the bearer of sad news this morning. The farm was closed for visitors yesterday as we were dealing with a livestock death on site and if you happened to have been caught out by this, we would like to apologise. We do regular night checks of the livestock during the lambing and kidding season, and at 2am, we noticed something wasn't right in the goat stable. Despite fast action and advice from our vet practice, Wilma, one of our pregnant Golden Guernsey goats, passed away at 2.30am on Sunday morning. We closed the farm…

From the 10th-21st April our horses will be enjoying a holiday. Lessons will resume on the 22nd April.
Our Cafe is now open on Monday's from 11am-2pm. Come along for lunch.

The horses are going off on their Spring Break 11th -20th April. Riding lessons will resume on FRIDAY 22ND APRIL. The riding office will be operating irregular hours during this period so please bare with us for any email and telephone enquiries. We will be hosting the Blind Children UK Easter fun day on the 5th of April. The farm will be closed to the public all day. Horse riding lessons will not be affected. Apologies for any inconvience caused
Vauxhall City Farm is thrilled to announce that our long term friends at West London Security have agreed to sponsor the farm through its new Vauxhall City Farm Champions scheme. The Vauxhall Champions scheme aims to raise funds to support local young people learning in the agricultural, equestrian and catering industries. Youth unemployment is a national and local issue, with almost 2,000 young people in Lambeth not in employment, education or training.
Due to popular demand the run of the show has been extended and it will be put on for an extra 9 nights in the last two weeks in September.
People left with a little more understanding of the challenges vision impaired people face every day and an appreciation of their own sight.

Spring is in the air and our Wild About School holidays clubs are starting again!
If you have or know a child aged 8 - 14 who loves the outdoors and would like to spend their weekends learning about nature and animal care, then Urban Roots may be just the club for them!
We are currently looking for some outgoing visitor engagement volunteers to help make guests' visits to the farm memorable and exciting.
This February, our expert spinners are running a series of workshops on the ancient craft of spinning and natural dyes.

Local schoolchildren, councillors, a farmer and property developer all gathered on Friday 7th November to lead the ground breaking for St Oswald’s Place under the watchful gaze of a herd of alpacas.

With a slight delay - due to some technical problems of loosing all our photographs - we would like to thank Pramerica Real Estate Investors for the corporate challenge they did at the farm in September. They spent the day clearing our ecology area, tidying up our allotments, doing bits of DIY, repainting signs and building a pond for our lovely ducks, so they have somewhere to swim while the building work is going on at the other end of the farm. Yesterday Vauxhall City Farm welcomed HRH The Princess Royal to officially open our new stable block.
We are thrilled to announce that we have received £116,000 funding over 3 years from the City of London’s Corporations charity, the City Bridge Trust to run our new Greener London initiative.
We are all very sad to be saying farewell to Linda Hinds who has been our Riding Centre Manager for the past 10 years.
Please be aware that the farm will be closed to the public on Wednesday 10th, Thursday 11th and Friday the 12th September as our sheep are unwell and need time to recover away from the public. We will also be closed the weekend of the 19th and 21st September, as we're taking most of the animals to the Berkshire County Show for one of our last shows of the season. Londoners and visitors travelling through Vauxhall Tube station today were treated to a surprise, as London Underground used the services of the farm to launch an illustrated map of the things to see and do above the Victoria line.
We are working in partnership with St James and Lambeth Borough Council to prepare the site of the 4 cottages at the rear of the farm for redevelopment.
The Lambeth Country Show celebrated its 40th anniversary on the weekend of the 19th and 20th and, as every year, Vauxhall City Farm was there with almost every farmyard animal, member of staff and our wonderful volunteers, old and new.
Alex McDougall has completed his 350 mile sponsored bike ride from Paris to Geneva raising money for Vauxhall City Farm.
More than 60 staff and volunteers from VSO spent the day completing a cross section of jobs such as gardening, painting animal enclosures and signage, grass seeding the livestock paddocks and doing DIY jobs, while still managing to fit in a lunch in Vauxhall Pleasure Garden, making the most of the sunny day and a quick round of Vauxhall City Farm Bingo. Today, we are proud to announce that Vauxhall City Farm, in partnership with Lambeth Borough Council, has today put pen to paper on a new lease on the Charity’s current site which will keep Vauxhall City Farm in the borough for a further 125 years.

Pub Quiz Night Saturday 17th May, 7pm A big thank you to all who came to our pub quiz! The evening was great fun and raised over £500 for the Patience appeal. After her nasty accident in January, Patience is recovering well. The money raised is going towards her care and rehabilitation. We hope to see her back in lessons after the summer break.
