The Job
The post holder will be the first point of contact in the café and must uphold excellent customer service while efficiently preparing orders.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of hot and cold food both to order and for pre-arrange meetings and events.
• Taking food to tables, clearing tables and keeping the café tidy.
• Making and serving coffee and other hot drinks to order, as well as serving soft and alcoholic drinks.
• Replenishing stock on the café floor.
• Taking payments at the till point.
• Assist in the running of events in the café/bar and meeting rooms including birthday parties.
• To comply with the arrangements made to deliver services in accordance with the Vauxhall City Farms Equal Opportunities Policy.
• To adhere to all health and safety instructions and not to do anything that might endanger themselves or others; to report to their line manager any dangerous situations in the work place or any shortcomings in health and safety arrangements that they perceive.

You will have

• Experience in working in a café environment
• Be of legal age to serve alcohol (18 years or over)
• Level 2 or above in food hygiene and safety

Special Conditions
This position will involve contact with vulnerable people. The post holder will therefore be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service clearance on appointment and on an appropriate review basis thereafter.
